Software
The PowerColor Alphyn AH10 is controlled through the PowerColor Keystone software driver. From what I've gathered, Keystone will also support all future PowerColor peripherals and include features such as RGB lighting effect synchronization.
The support for the Alphyn AH10 gaming headset is somewhat rudimentary. You can toggle DTS Surround Sound on or off, choose from four factory-tailored sound profiles (Gaming, Music, Theater, Voice), and create up to three custom profiles. In the custom profiles, you can manually adjust the 10-band equalizer, enable the Dialog Enhancement Control to boost midrange frequencies, and use the Bass Control toggle to enhance bass output.
Since I found the Alphyn AH10 to perform best with DTS Surround Sound deactivated, the Keystone software driver was effectively useless to me. If you share this preference, it's better to uninstall the software entirely, as its window annoyingly pops up with every Windows startup. PowerColor appears to have omitted a "start minimized" option from Keystone's interface. While advanced users can manually adjust the settings by accessing the properties of the Keystone shortcut, opening the Shortcut tab, and selecting "Minimized" in the Run dropdown menu, this workaround is unnecessarily complex for addressing a problem that should have been resolved by design.
