Overclocking

Overclocking the latest card from AMD works just like overclocking any other recent card from them. The main problem is finding a software which works with those cards. I think RivaTuner should work, after adding the device ID to rivatuner.cfg if the card is not recognized. For our testing we used a combination of internal AMD overclocking software, ATITool and 3DMark.



The final overclocks of our card are 864 MHz Core (8 % overclock) and 1053 MHz Memory (5 % overclock). Both overclocks are fairly small. Especially for the GPU I would have expected higher clocks. After all this is a 55 nm product with a dual slot cooler running at low temperatures.

Temperatures

The temperatures of the dual slot cooler are low, it would be better if the fan was running slower resulting in a quieter experience and slightly increased temperatures.
