Quick Configuration through Qfinder

Probably the most important program in the bundled software disc is Qfinder. This program turns the installation of your new NAS server into a really easy procedure. Once you install/run Qfinder, it will find the IP address of the NAS on the network; it will also check for any available firmware upgrades since QNAP releases new firmware quite often. In our case, the NAS already had the latest firmware installed.


The setup wizard will help you configure the NAS easily and, above all, quickly. As you can see, it guides you through all the necessary steps in an intuitive way.


You can change the settings of an already configured NAS server through Qfinder.


Qfinder allows you to check on the NAS's available system resources, shutdown or restart, see its system details, and perform various general administrative tasks.
