Now, let's check how much power the TS-869L needs in sleep and idle mode, and during heavy throughput.We use two professional power analyzers, a Prova WM-01 and a GW Instek GPM-8212, for all power consumption measurements.

Power Consumption in Standby Mode
Vampire power or phantom load is the amount of power that a device consumes when it is switched off while still plugged into the power grid. The phantom load should, according to the ErP Lot 6 2010 directive, be below 1W; the future 2013 directive lowers this threshold to 0.5W.
