QPAD UC50 & FX90 Mouse Mats Review

Value and Conclusion

UC50

  • The UC-series sells for €9.99/€12.99/€19.99/€24.99/€34.99.
  • Soft surface
  • Perfect tracking with most sensors
  • Durable for a soft mat
  • Does not slide around
  • Available in several sizes
  • A bit expensive for a soft mat
  • Not stain resistant
QPAD has definitely come up with something that feels just like an old soft mat, but features improved surface quality. The UC is not really a show-stopper, but it does provide decent improvements over the normal soft mat, which warrants its existence. That and the fact that you can get it in well-thought-out size increments makes it a good choice for many gamers who prefer the feel of soft mats.

QPAD FX90

  • The QPAD FX-series sells for €9.99/€12.99/€19.99/€24.99/€34.99.
  • Huge
  • Retains the core qualities of soft mats
  • More consistent glide than normal soft mats
  • Durable for a soft mat
  • Available in several sizes
  • Not stain resistant
The FX-series surface is unique and definitely maintains all the soft-mat-specific traits I like while nearly ridding itself of all those I hate. That combined with its reasonably competitive price make it a great product in my book, but keep in mind that the glide is not the same as on the regular soft mats you are used to. As with the UC-series, the FX mats are available in five different sizes, which makes finding one that fits your bill easy. These mats cost just as much as those of the UC series, which, in my opinion, also makes them of better value to the average gamer.
