Durability
Since it is a plastic mat the durability is very good compared to cloth mats. I have decided to put this mat through the spillage test, just to see if the surface is damaged by spillage.
As you can see on the pictures above the mat wasn't damaged by spillage. This mat is very hard to damage even though the surface is made of plastic. The surface can be cleaned easily with a damped cloth, and if you're so unfortunate to spill a softdrink on it there is good chance that you can save the mat just by cleaning it with some alcohol and a damped cloth.
I only noted one negative thing during my durability tests. The surface is quite rough on teflon even compared to steel mats.
This is probaly due to the surface texture. I dont se this excessive wear as a real problem because 1m of high quality teflon only costs about (€/$)10-15.
Value & Conclusion
- This mat retails for €47.00 including shipping. With that pricetag it cannot compete with mats such as the SteelPad Qck in bang for the buck, but if you want the best of the best there is no way around the QPAD XT-R.

The QPAD XT-R really surprised me, the surface is absolutely the best on the market when it comes to precision and keeping friction at a minimum, the only negative thing that I can think of with this mat is the size, it will be too small for a low sensitivity gamer. I would recommend this mat to any medium to high sensitivity gamer. The retail value of €47.00 including shipping is high, but I definitely feel that it is worth every €.
