Overall the new Capstone Modular 750W made a good impression since it registered high efficiency throughout the whole load range, ripple suppression was excellent, and the cooling fan isn't loud. Five year warranty, Japanese capacitors and the ball bearings fan promise a long and trouble-free lifespan. Moreover I shouldn't forget to mention the good quality finish that this PSU features and the fact that is equipped with two EPS connectors along with four PCIe ones, with all being available at the same time.
Moving on to the negative aspects, for me the most significant drawback is its high price which puts it in the high-end 750W category where strong competitors reign the field (e.g. Antec HCP-750, Corsair AX-750 and Seasonic X-750). All these PSUs are available right now at Newegg at a similar price. Nevertheless the price that Rosewill gave us is the MSRP, so actual retail price might be much lower. Personally I think a price around $130 would help the unit compete against the bigger brands.
To sum up, although I find its MSRP to be on the high side, this PSU is a great performer. It proved this throughout my tests, where it withstood extreme abuse but also performed flawlessly and efficiently in all cases. If you live in the US and decide to invest on a good 750W PSU then you should seriously put the Rosewill Capstone Modular 750W on your short list, especially if you find it at a lower price than the MSRP.
