Rightmark Audio Analyzer

We used Rightmark Audio Analyzer together with a loop-back cable to analyze the quality of the on-board audio solution.

Summary

Frequency response (from 40 Hz to 15 kHz), dB:+0.25, -0.33Good
Noise level, dB (A):-81.2Good
Dynamic range, dB (A):80.9Good
THD, %:0.011Good
IMD, %:0.033Good
Stereo crosstalk, dB:-78.8Very good
IMD at 10 kHz, %:0.107Average

General performance: Good

Considering that the whole motherboard costs a lot less than a high-quality sound card, the onboard audio performance is satisfying. Home theater enthusiasts will not trust any onboard audio and buy and additional sound card anyway. An SPDIF output is included in the package via an additional PCI slot bracket.
