Installation

To install the Scythe Big Shuriken 3, users will need to prepare the backplate before securing it to the motherboard. This means you will need to position the backplate on the motherboard before using the black spacers to hold it in place, at which point you can put the mounting plates on the spacers and secure them with the proper nuts.


Now, apply some thermal paste and secure the heatsink to the motherboard. Most users won't need to install the fan. However, you will need to plug it into the CPU fan header.

Installation was effortless overall, and I would rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The cooler's manageable size and simple mounting hardware make for a quick and painless installation.
