Scythe Chouriki 2 Plug-In 850 W Review

A Look Inside »

Packaging

The box has compact dimensions and on the front we find a simple but serious design, without fancy colors and vivid graphics. The series and the model of the PSU are given through calligraphy fonts and on the bottom we meet several badges for the efficiency rating of the unit, the main features and the five-year warranty. On the other sides of the box we find many details about the features and characteristics of the SPCR2-850P, like the fan's details, available connectors/cable length, power specifications etc.

Contents

Only bubble wrap protects the PSU inside the package, but thankfully it arrived intact despite the long trip it made. The bundle is quite poor. Besidesn the essential modular cables it includes a basic installation guide, a set of fixing bolts and an AC power cord. We would appreciate it if Scythe included some zip or Velcro ties with it.

Exterior

The PSU has a shiny metal, fingerprint magnet, finish which we found nice but others may prefer a painted exterior. On the front the classic honeycomb design is utilized, for more efficient heat transfer. On the rear there is a grommet around the cable exit hole and in the modular panel the four PCIe connectors are painted in blue while the peripheral ones use black color.
