Ripple suppression was very good despite the tough conditions we exposed the unit to. Its combination of quality components and good design brought about these result. However, the competition's ripple suppression is even better, so Seasonic must strive to set an even higher bar in their implementations. We know that it may sound silly to ask for better ripple suppression on a Seasonic product, but we consider them to be one of the best PSU manufacturers, so their products should perform even better in our ripple-suppression tests; competition is also a good thing because it makes for more demanding reviewers.

Ripple at Full Load

You can see the main rails' AC ripple and noise (+12V, 5V, 3.3V, and 5VSB) in the following oscilloscope screenshots. The bigger the fluctuations on the oscilloscope's screen, the bigger the ripple / noise. We set 0.01 V/Div (each vertical division/box equals 0.01 V) as the standard for all measurements.
