Installation
Installing the Hydrogon D120 ARGB is honestly a quick and easy process. On AMD systems, start by removing the plastic brackets. Once done, use the white spacers and AMD standoffs to secure the backplate to the motherboard, and slide the mounting arms over the standoffs and secure them with the nuts.
With that done, apply the thermal paste and secure the cooler to the mounting arms. The design of this cooler means the fans do not have to be removed as cutouts are placed over the tension bolts, so you can slide the included screwdriver down inside and attach the heatsink. With the heatsink secure, all that remains is to plug in the fans and connect the ARGB headers to the motherboard.
Unlike most brands, the SilverStone Hydrogon D120 ARGB doesn't require what feels like an extra set of hands to get it mounted on the AMD system. This alone is a nice bonus as the mounting hardware functions very similarly to the Intel hardware for all but the the backplate, which AMD provides. Meanwhile, the backplate requires some assembly on Intel, but it is quick and straightforward, with the later steps very similar to the process above. Overall, SilverStone has done a good job with the mounting hardware.
