A Closer Look

Swiftech's H220 X2 Prestige is an expandable all-in-one liquid cooler. Its radiator is 127 mm x 254 mm x 28 mm large, is made of brass and copper, and has 15 fins per inch / 2.54 cm. However, with the pump and reservoir, the kit is roughly 5 inches / 12.7 cm thick. Even though thick, it shouldn't get in the way of DIMMs or a motherboard's heatsinks since its radiator and pump are slightly offset.

The reservoir is now of a longer, tubed shape instead of the older boxy design the original H220's and H240's reservoir had. It also features ALEDs, which allows end users to manually change colors. The reservoir's and MCP30 pump's new design allow the unit to be mounted in just about any direction, and both now use compression swivel fittings, which is nice to see. Every fitting is also G1/4, which is a much-needed upgrade over the previous generation that used adapters. As for the tubing, it is roughly 15 inches / 38 cm long, is out of clear PVC, and has an outer diameter of 16 mm and an inner diameter of 10 mm.

The CPU block is made of clear acrylic and nickel-plated C110 copper. It also features ALEDs for illumination when in use. The CPU block uses compression swivel fittings and features a near-perfect mirror finish. Overall, the included Apogee XL2 is a fantastic-looking CPU block.

Swiftech paired the H220 X2 Prestige with Noise blocker eLoop fans. These 120 mm x 25 mm fans have a PWM RPM range of 800-2000 and are near the top in terms of quality. The frame is different from traditional fans in that it is a fiberglass reinforced PBT frame. Granted, I had no issues with Swiftech's original Helix fans either, but these eLoop fans are definitely a few steps above them.
