The box is plain, which really doesn't reflect how expensive of a unit is inside. This is fine with us, though, since it is sturdy enough to protect what is inside well.

Contents And Bundle

Two packing foam pieces inside the box keep the NAS safe, which is also wrapped in a white foam sheet.


The accessories box includes two Ethernet cables, the power brick, along with the power cord, a set of screws for mounting the disks onto the trays, the user's manual, along with another leaflet for a free software trial, and a set of keys for the trays.


The power adapter is by EDAC Power Electronics, and its model number is EA11011D-120. It can deliver 8.33 Amps with 12VDC output, or around 100 W of power, which is easily enough to cover the needs of this NAS. The same exact power brick is used by the DS916+.
