Router Set-up And Web Interface Video

The easiest way to set up the router is through a smart device using Synology's DS router app, which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.


The smart device has to be connected to the router's WiFi signal, and as for the password, you will find it on the product label. If you are a hardcore admin, you can connect the router to your network through its LAN port and type its IP address (192.168.1.1) into a browser. The problem with going that route, however, is that other routers will usually use this IP as well, which creates conflicts, so performing a wireless setup with the router not connected to the LAN is the considerably better option.
