Initial Setup
It's really funny to me that I use an open test bench to test most of the hardware I review, especially these days where there are all these great RGB devices, like motherboards and keyboards and any other board types in PCs. Nothing smacks you in the face like a memory stick that completely disappears into a solid beam of light when you hit that power button. The white of the heatspreaders makes the colors stand out all that much more. If you want a single color, these sticks work for that too, with a huge spread of colors possible. Here are a few:
I really like how these sticks stand out so much and light up so well. Even the "Delta R" logo lights up perfectly.
Testing Rated Speeds
When you turn on XMP with these Delta RGB sticks, you get 3000 MHz speeds once again. Team Group has sent me a whole bunch of 3000 MHz sticks by now, and while that's becoming a bit boring, so is worrying about getting these sticks working. These sticks aren't certified to have Samsung ICs like some of Team Group's other offerings, so the value in what you pay for with these is clearly somewhere else. These sticks are actually priced lower than the Night Hawk RGB sticks I reviewed earlier. You'll pay a bit more for the white ones, so what's going on performance-wise when you hit the power button isn't exactly the most important thing, is it?
The T-Force Delta RGB sticks do include a specialized PCB that is supposed to improve signaling and offer more overclocking headroom. Of course, what ICs are underneath the cover is what really matters, and Team Group has made sure to choose PCBs that will not stand in the way of your performance optimizations, although your mileage may again vary.
