Established in 1965, Technics is a brand under the massive Panasonic corporation umbrella. This makes Technics an audio powerhouse even before most of its competitors were a thing. I typically associated Technics with the likes of turntables, speakers, and amplifiers for the lot, but it appears Panasonic is slowly and steadily shifting all consumer audio onto the back of Technics. This means dealing with the ever-growing world of true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones too, and we now take a look at one such offering. Thanks to Technics for arranging a review sample for TechPowerUp!
It might be easy to dismiss the Technics EAH-AZ70W as "just another one of those," and the full name certainly isn't exactly catchy. This is why I am mostly going to stick to "Technics AZ70" here, as that is also how these TWS earphones are referred to more often than not by Technics. The set comes in black or silver color options, and I have the former, which is why I used the title image above to showcase the silver option should it interest you more. Both otherwise share the same feature set, which we will go over briefly in the table below.
