The following graph shows the NAS's overall performance in all the tests we conducted using our custom-made software.
The network transfer speeds the N2310 achieved were pretty good and can easily meet those of the more expensive competition, irregardless of its weak SoC. Only USB 3.0 transfer speeds with the NTFS file system fell behind, though for unknown reasons.
Let us now compare the performance of the N2310 to that of other NAS devices.
The NAS performed pretty well with up to three clients, achieving close to 100 MB/s overall transfer speed. But more than three clients demanding for huge volumes of data caused problems, with transfers to some clients freezing, which meant that we couldn't complete our tests. The maximum number of clients we could test with was then restricted to three, but three clients are usually enough for a home environment.
