RAID Operations

We perform RAID sync operations during which we measure the time the NAS needs to complete these tasks; average power consumption for these rebuild and synchronization periods is also measured. In NAS servers with four bays or more, we rebuild and sync RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 6 arrays, while in smaller two-bay NAS servers, we are confined to a RAID 1 array. The Bitmap option is disabled in NAS servers that support it to produce comparable results since it speeds up RAID rebuild times.

Low enough times here, and the fast RAID creation option is great if you don't want to wait for a while for the RAID array to be synchronized.
