Shape

The shape of the ARGENT M5 RGB is rather curious, to where it becomes difficult to describe properly. The most irritating part is the back portion. It almost looks like a modular design, as if the back half is attached to the front half, but that's merely a design gimmick. Geometrically, the ARGENT M5 RGB is widest in the middle and gradually narrows towards the front and back. The hump is centered and almost entirely flat across the entire width, leaving little palm support. At the same time, the mouse body recesses around where the back visually "attaches" to the front, which greatly affects grip. In my case, I placed my pinky in the left-side recession and my thumb right next to the edge on the left side. Depending on one's grip and hand size, these recessions may end up being rather irritating, however. Furthermore, despite not being a tall design, the above-average grip width and length make it more suitable for bigger hands, yet those in particular may take issue with the recessions. Overall, I'm not convinced by this design and wouldn't expect it to be comfortable for most people.

As for grip styles, I'd say the ARGENT M5 RGB mostly suits claw grip because it's too long for fingertip grip and doesn't provide sufficient palm support for palm grip. It's a medium-sized mouse with a mildly pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the ARGENT M5 RGB mostly comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Thermaltake ARGENT M5 RGB and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
