Packaging

Thermaltake packs the Tower 500 in a full-color cardboard box that has an image of the chassis on two sides. On one side of the package is the specification table, while the other offers up another view of the enclosure.

Two solid foam spacers hold the chassis in place, with a clear plastic bag protecting it from scratches and fingerprints.

You will receive an abundance of zip ties, plenty of black screws, and some rubber bits alongside a motherboard speaker. On top of that, there are two rails for up to three 120 mm fans or a radiator of up to 360 mm. Lastly, a detailed manual takes you through the various build options the Tower 500 is capable of.

We also received the LCD panel kit, which is specifically designed for the Tower 500. Funnily enough, even tough we have the black chassis for review, Thermaltake sent us the "Snow" LCD panel kit—rest assured that a black one is also available for purchase. As this hiccup is purely cosmetic, we will still install the kit as part of the review.

The panel is meant to replace the bottom front grille, but with a cutout that holds Thermaltake's 3.9" LCD screen. This is the same as on the Divider 550 TG and works with their TT RGB Plus 2.0 software. If you want to know more about it, check out our Thermaltake Divider 550 TG review. On top of all this, Thermaltake once again supplied us with their Toughliquid Ultra 360 AIO, which we also looked at in the Divider 550 TG review.
