The Thermaltake V1 is a beautiful-looking copper cooler with a unique styling and elegant flair. The design of the V1 gives it such a unique look that I believe that will be one of its greatest selling points. The installation was as easy to perform as the stock Intel heatsink, and performance was decent. The included 110mm fan has a fan speed controller and blue LEDs.
During the overclocking tests the V1 managed to beat the stock cooler by a good 15 to 20º C under load, but the stock testing and idle overclock temperatures could have been better. Given that the price tag for this cooler is around $55 US dollars, many users can find similar performers for less, or better performers for around the same price. And although the 110mm fan is not as loud as some other Thermaltake fans, at full speed the V1 is quite loud.
Overall the Thermaltake V1 is a great looking heatsink that still gives decent performance.
