It is hard to find anything bad with the Eikon and Eikon To Go Fingerprint Readers. Both have similar internals, thus offering the same functionality. The software can be installed easily and works right away. Upek has managed to take a business product and bring it to the consumer level, as it is easy to manage fingerprints, add applications to those prints and manage your encrypted files and folders.
The only gripes one could have is the limited password bank not working with every browser and the fact that Mac OS X currently has a very limited set of functions. Upek is actively working on expanding said functionality on the Apple platform in the near future. Being one of the only companies to offer both 32 bit and 64 bit support as well as Windows 7 compatibility is quite impressive. This is a feat that even Microsoft does not manage with their own fingerprint reader. Then, considering the great build quality of the Upek Eikon and Eikon To Go, along with that compatibility and the fact that it is priced in the same range as other, less functional models, the Eikon or Eikon To Go are solid choices.
