Performance

The Verbatim Store'n'Go Executive Drive manages to hold its promise of 25 MB/s read speed as HD Tach shows, but write speeds are horridly slow. The drive was benched on four different systems, all with similar results so it is not an issue of the testing environment. It is one thing if a drive is not quite as fast as advertised - that happens all the time and such statements are usually not comparable with real world use anyways, but this is just way too far off the truth here.


ATTO shows a very similar set of results. No matter which system the drive was used on, it never passes 6 MB/s write speed.
