Drivers
After you installed the driver from the CD a little icon appears in your tray.
If you right click the tray icon you are present with a selection of audio related options.
The basic layout of the driver is just like any other C-Media solution I have seen, except that the whole "Karaoke" feature and microphone settings have been disabled. In the main driver tab you can see which mode the sound card is in and what type of audio mode it's in. Besides the usual stuff you can also adjust each speaker's volume independently so that you can tweak the sound scheme to your liking. I found that I had to boost the center speaker's volume in order to get the sound scape to be neutral.
In the mixer section of the configuration utility you can adjust all of the audio levels that one might find in the "Windows" audio configuration system. It's quite standard, but covers all of the important aspects of volume control.
Under the "Effects" tab you can adjust the virtual distance between the speakers. It makes little difference in a headset, but if you had a full blown surround sound system on the other end of the sound card this feature would have been quite useful because you could tweak room distortion away.
The last and rather uninteresting tab is the "Information" tab, it's basically just a readout of what hardware you have hooked the sound card to. I guess this feature can become useful if you need to troubleshoot the sound card.
