Value and Conclusion

  • The Zaward Vivo will sell for $46 US Dollars when it is released at the end of September.
  • Small size
  • Excellent performance, especially with two fans
  • Competitive pricing
  • Unique style
  • Low noise
  • Easy installation
  • Compatible with most mainstream CPUs
  • Interference with clip lever when installing a second fan
  • Thermal compound application may be more difficult
  • White cover came apart easily when not attached
Although this is my first experience with Zaward, I can say I am very impressed with the Vivo. Even though it was based on a smaller 92mm fan, its performance was as good or better than several 120mm fan-based coolers. Add to that the simple installation, low-noise fan and competitive pricing, Zaward easily comes out on top.

There isn't really much wrong with the Zaward Vivo. The thermal compound application may be slightly different than what most people are used to due to the exposed heatpipes. There was an interference issue when adding a second fan to the Vivo on an AMD platform, but that could be fixed by using some longer screws. The third problem was when the white cover came apart and the black vents came out, but that could easily be fixed with a few drops of glue.

Overall the Zaward Vivo is an excellent heatsink, and I am looking forward to seeing more products from Zaward.
