Image Transmission System

Image transmission is done through the Camera Control system. We can stream footage in 720p or 1080p by using the camera's HDMI port, which means both the camera control cable and HDMI cable should be connected before proceeding. Keep in mind that there is a specific cable for each camera brand, according to the table below.



The ZY Play app is indispensable for this task, which had us download it on our smartphone we then mounted to the gimbal with the TransMount phone holder with crown gear. In order to connect the smartphone to the camera, turn the gimbal before the camera. Smartphones of up to 6" are supported. Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the smartphone and pick the correct device to connect to. Once done, tap the Wi-Fi button on your smartphone and enable the Live Preview button. The same goes for a smart device near the gimbal you want to connect. There are plenty of tutorials online about the ZY Play app and its capabilities.

Zhiyun Play app

Each time we open the app, it automatically searches for a firmware update for the gimbal and Servo Follow Focus/Zoom controllers. ViaTouch Control provides features which reduce the time and effort of such tasks as image transfers (FHD) or even remote controlling the gimbal. The software is compatible with both Android and iOS. Timelapse, motionlapse, long exposure timelapse, and panorama are some of the shooting options. ZY Play also offers the tracking option in which the camera is set to and follows a person. Some of the parameters you may adjust in the app are aperture value, shutter speed, and ISO.
