Optional Accessories

Zhiyun was kind enough to send us all of the accessories for the Crane 3. The servo Zoom/Focus modules consist of control modules (1x Max and 1x Lite) for synchronous zoom and focus adjustments through the tactile wheel, zoom rocker of the gimbal, or touch screen of a mounted smartphone. The TransMount phone holder with crown gear is another optional accessories. It can rotate 360° and accommodates smartphones of up to 6".

The Crane 3 Lab is a heavy gimbal, and its weight increases significantly if used with a large DSLR camera. Consequently, it is rather fatiguing to use even after just a short period of time. Zhiyun is obviously aware of this issue and has released a number of accessories which support and relieve arms and back to allow for longer video shooting sessions.

One of these accessories is the TransMount multifunction camera belt with multiple attachment points for carrying a camera, water bottle, quick-release plate, the monopod, etc. The TransMount quick-release base plate helps with securing any camera to the strap with thumbscrews. Two quick release tripod/monopod adapters help with utilizing the next accessory, as well as a tripod.

The tripod base under the gimbal is easily removed to make room for the monopod. The ability to mount the camera to a TransMount telescopic monopod leads to more shooting angles, which motivates an artist to unleash the camera's full potential. The monopod comes in a carrying bag and features a hand strap with an an adapter screw for a sense of safety, and its base has three legs. It uses a push button to keep the legs in position, and the gimbal body has latches with which to alter the length of the monopod.
