Optional Accessories and Transmission Module

Most of Zhiyun's accessories for previous gimbals can be mounted to the Weebill-S body. This means you can connect more than one monitor to control the gimbal, such as a smartphone through the Transmount phone holder with crown gear or another smart device with the image transmission Wi-Fi module and remote control. A connected monitor allows for an assistant filmmaker; one person acts as a filmmaker and the other as the director.

Below is a list of optional accessories with a brief description of each:
  • The servo Zoom/Focus module offers synchronous zoom and focus through the left side wheel of the gimbal or the touch screen of a mounted device.
  • The TransMount phone holder with crown gear is another optional accessory we previously mentioned. It can rotate 360° degrees and accommodates smartphones of up to 6".
  • A TransMount multifunction camera belt with multiple attachment points. Other than just securing your camera to the belt for a safe change of location, you may also secure your water bottle, the quick-release plate, monopod, and more.
  • The TransMount quick-release base plate is an easy-to-use accessory that secures any camera to Zhiyun's bag or the camera belt with thumbscrews.
  • A TransMount telescopic monopod enables more shooting angles. Two quick-release tripod/monopod adapters make it a smooth task. The monopod comes in a carrying bag and has a hand strap. Its three legs offer a stable base. It uses a push-button to keep the legs in position and has latches with which you may alter the length of the monopod on the fly; most of its surface is also soft-coated.

Transmission Module

Capable of transmitting images at a range of up to 100 meter with 1080p and 30 FPS, the image transmission module is remarkable.

It comes with plenty of ports. A disk and HDMI port are on one side, while a micro USB port is on the other. Since the module is placed under your camera, an ON/OFF button and three LED indicators have also been embedded, so you will always know whether the Transmitter is operating or not. Additionally, a variety of tools, such as LUT/false, color/focus, and peaking/zebra, are available. The TransMount image transmission module can also be used for live streaming sessions with three devices, such as a smartphone, tablet, or professional monitor, all connected simultaneously.

This specific module gives you access to the ViaTouch 2.0 eco-system, which allows you to control your mounted smart device with Zhiyun's remote controller we weren't able to test since both the receiver and the remote are still in development.

Using the provided compatibility list, you can check on whether you can adjust your camera's parameters through ViaTouch 2.0. One person can hold the gimbal, while another does the shooting through a smart device from a distance, adjusts the gimbal's parameters, or even changes or modifies shooting modes.

The Weebill-S can use electronic focus and mechanical focus/zoom control through a large, tactile wheel with an aluminium plate on the left side of the handle. If you have purchased the Zoom/Focus Servo, you may mount it and use it as well. Also, the same can be done with ViaTouch 2.0 on a smartphone, which is an iOS and Android-based control system.
