After spending a week with the ZOTAC Z68-ITX Wifi, we are quite happy with the board, but we must point out that although it is a great mini-ITX product, there are several things that we consider oversights that prevent us from giving it a higher score. The incomplete BIOS and complete lack of software cannot be overlooked, no matter what abilities the board has, as these two specific areas are ones that lean hard on overall consumer impression. If purchase of this product was for an HTPC with a minimal overclock, then this product fits the bill perfectly.
There are many other full-size options on the market for the same or lower cost that can offer everything the ZOTAC Z68-ITX WiFi does, but no other board available today can match its tiny desktop footprint. A few tweaks to the BIOS, and providing some simple software could have gone a long way here. However, because BIOS can be updated, and software can be added later, we still score the Z68-ITX WiFi fairly high, and the underlying physical hardware design is quite good, so good, in fact, that we plan to put this product to the long term test in our work rig.
