The Zotac ZBOX AD06 Plus is clearly aimed to take the budget-minded user by storm. Utilizing the brand's signature chassis, the system works well in its configuration while still giving the customer the ability to grab the non-Plus variant for an upgrade with an SSD or more memory. That said, the E2 is not quite as fast, which may result in others willing to spend more money on more powerful ZBOXES instead. The AD06 does shine when used in its intended environment as a basic system for general tasks like surfing and office work, or HTPC duties. It manages to handle all these tasks quite well for its price point and draws very little power in the process - perfect if you are into being green.
The biggest competition comes from other ZOTAC products like the ZBOX nano AD12. It is smaller but offers the same basic feature set and comes with built-in Wifi while clocking in at just 10% more with the barebone variant. Even when looking at these in their Plus edition, the price difference is negligible - the choice is yours.
