Just like other Zowie products, the Divina S mice come in a very plain and simple white box with a minimal amount of print on them. It definitely looks sleek and elegant if you ask me. There is no peek-through window or any frippery of the sort. The contents of the package are a quick-start guide, sticker, set of extra feet, and the mouse itself, of course.
Size and Shape
There are two size variants for the S series; the S1 is slightly bigger than the S2 in all dimensions. Zowie is among the very few manufacturers to actually put a proper size chart on their website; big kudos to them for that. The S1 is 126 mm (4.96") long, has a gripping width of 61 mm (2.4"), and a total height of 39 mm (1.54"). The S2 is only 122 mm (4.8") long, 59 mm (2.32") wide at the middle, and 38 mm (1.5") high. The humps of these mice are a bit towards the back, which pretty much puts them between the FK and ZA series. As for the grip style, Zowie mainly features claw and palm gripping for these two on their info graphs, which of course doesn't mean they cannot be used with a fingertip grip, or any sort of hybrid grip—grip styles are entirely up to personal preference. With these dimensions, I would say the S1 will mainly be comfortable with hands between 17 and 20 cm, while the S2 could be great with hands between 15 and 19 cm. These are rough guidelines; if you have the possibility, totally try them out before hitting that buy button.
As for the shape, the Divina S mice are rather low-profile and symmetrical, with side buttons on the left only, which means they mainly suit right-handed users. This is an interesting choice from Zowie since their ambidextrous mice have thus far always featured two side buttons on each side.
Concave sides help you maintain a stable grip even when picking up the mouse. The rear of the mouse is bigger than on previous symmetrical Zowie mice, and the front is raised a bit too, so it's a bit more suitable for palm gripping. The main buttons feature some comfort grooves to help get your fingers settle into a more stable, relaxed position.
