The Micron 5300 Pro was a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor, launched in October 2019, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 240 GB to 7.5 TB. This page reports specifications for the 7.5 TB variant. With the rest of the system, the Micron 5300 Pro interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the 88SS1074 Dean from Marvell. Micron has installed 96-layer TLC NAND flash on the 5300 Pro, the flash chips are made by Micron. The 5300 Pro is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 540 MB/s and 520 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 95K for reads and 11K for writes. The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Micron guarantees an endurance rating of 9110 TBW, a good value.
