Samsung Unveils the World's Slimmest Phone


Samsung unveiled the first in the upcoming series of Samsung's ultra slim line-ups. The Samsung X820, which will be displayed for the first time at the Sviaz ExpoComm 2006, boasts the world's thinnest profile of only 6.9 mm. Also on display will be Samsung's D900, the world's slimmest slider with the depth of only 13mm.

With a variety of color ways in the making, the X820 will first hit the Russian market next month, followed by other European markets. Click here for more information.

Sweet!!! plus a 2MP camera and MP3 Player... didn't see any mention of memory expansion though - embedded 80 MB wouldn't last long. The other model on thier site (SGH-D900) is a slide phone, has 3.13 MP camera and Micro SD slot - only 13 mm thick (about 1/2").

I would like a phone that slim but I'd always be worrying it would snap. Having said that, isn't that almost the same thickness as an iPod Nano.

I think nano's are a little thicker. 80Mb of memory is A LOT compared to the Razor which only has 5Mb.

Wow, nice phone, camera good, strenght ehh, but other than that, I have only snapped one of my phones, RIP SLVR!
