I-O Data Readies USB 3.0 External HDDs

I-O Data is readying a new line of USB 3.0 compatible external hard drives, the HDJ-UT, that offers high capacity with high transfer-speeds. The series includes a 2 TB model that has transfer speeds of up to 139 MB/s. The drive measures 46 (W) x 223 (D) x 155 (H) mm and weights 1.6 kg. It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. The 2 TB variant is expected to retail in Japan for $315.

Thanks for the news. This driver is not too expensive, I think, but its price was always becoming higher after import trade. Furthermore, the new build of Windows 7 which is supposed to be support USB 3.0 technology is still not released.

Windows 7 supports USB 3.0. I've got the card in my computer to prove it.
