Transcend Ships New Mac Friendly StoreJet Portable Hard Drive

Transcend announced the StoreJet 25D2-W, a portable hard drive designed to complement Mac computers. Featuring a sleek glossy white finish and certified compatibility with Mac laptop and desktop computers, this brand new Apple friendly drive is a must have for fashion-minded users-especially Mac enthusiasts.

The compact StoreJet 25D2-W portable hard drive is stylish, rugged and ultra-portable. Its shiny gloss-white lacquer finish resembles the classic Apple style, making it look good with any Mac computer, including MacBooks, iMacs, MacBook Mini, etc. With full certification for use with all Mac systems, the StoreJet 25D2-W bears the "Compatible with Mac OS X" logo that gives Mac users extra piece of mind. Thanks to its trendy design and multi-platform compatibility, both Windows and Mac users now have a fantastic choice for storing and carrying their data with style.
The StoreJet 25D2-W offers immense storage capacity for synchronization and backup using software such as Mac OSX Time Machine or Transcend's StoreJet Elite software for Windows. Under its seemingly delicate case is an internal hard drive suspension system that helps prevent damage caused by accidental slips or falls during travel. For further piece of mind, the drive features anti-slip rubber feet that provide a stable base for resting on a table or computer case. Also an eco-friendly drive, the StoreJet 25D2-W is designed to automatically go into power-saving sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity, allowing energy-savings of up to 30%.

Backed by an extra-long 3-year warranty, the StoreJet 25D2-W portable hard drive provides a higher level of reliability, quality and longevity. To protect against dirt and scratches, the StoreJet 25D2-W comes with a stylish faux-suede travel pouch that allows users to carry it snugly and safely.

All StoreJet drives come bundled with Transcend's own StoreJet Elite software that offers intelligent backup scheduling, Internet tools and 256-bit AES encryption. Offered in chic white, the StoreJet 25D2-W is now available in 500GB capacity.

Making something "Mac Friendly" or "Built For Mac" is a license to charge more for it, and extract more profit from dumb consumers.

Shhh.... we are artists therefore we are better than you.

It is a cult of personality. Apple is parasitic of its followers.

I still remember the panic of a large section of Mac users when Intel processors were announced to be used in its products. They feared it would subject them to PC viruses.

If all you have is an iphone, itouch, or ipod you aren't necessarily a Mac user BTW. I have used and managed Apple computers for about 15 years thanks to being raised with them, although I prefer the open nature of PCs. Of course Linux is a tweakers playground but it simply takes more effort and time IMO.
