ZOTAC Unleashes Duo of AMD 800 Series Mini-ITX Platforms
ZOTAC International, a leading innovator and the world's largest channel manufacturer of graphics cards, motherboards and mini-PCs, today unleashes a duo of mini-ITX platforms designed for optimal energy-efficiency, home theatre PC and powered by AMD 800 series chipsets - including the world's first AMD mobile-on-desktop platform - the new ZOTAC M880G-ITX WiFi - and the socket AM3 compatible 880G-ITX WiFi.
Powered by AMD 800 series chipsets, the ZOTAC M880G-ITX WiFi and 880G-ITX WiFi platforms deliver a premium AMD experience in a mini-ITX form factor with USB 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gb/s and 802.11n WiFi technologies. High-performance integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 series graphics processor enables stunning visuals with Microsoft DirectX 10.1 technology.ATI Avivo HD technology provides the ZOTAC M880G-ITX WiFi and 880G-ITX WiFi with hardware decode acceleration for flawless playback of 1080p high-definition content - online and offline.
"ZOTAC is the world leader when it comes to high-definition-ready mini-ITX platforms. We are able to provide an energy-efficient AMD platform with the new M880G-ITX WiFi, while the new 880G-ITX WiFi introduces socket AM3 compatibility to our mini-ITX product line up," said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.
The ZOTAC M880G-ITX WiFi brings notebook levels of energy-efficiency to the desktop with a combination of AMD Turion II Neo Dual-Core K625 mobile processor and ATI Radeon HD 4200 series graphics processor - components from the 2010 AMD Ultrathin Platform. For more performance-demanding tasks the ZOTAC 880G-ITX WiFi is the ideal mini-ITX form factor for AMD Phenom II, Athlon II and Sempron processors.
Compatibility with socket AM3 processors empower the user to select the right amount of processing power for their computing demands - whether its single, dual, tri or quad-core processing - with the ZOTAC 880G-ITX WiFi.
It's time to play with the ZOTAC M880G-ITX WiFi and 880G-ITX WiFi.

I would use a setup like this to Crunch on, its so small its like a set it and forget it type deal.
I love Zotac ITX Boards :)
still the Gigabyte mini ITX HM55 board is the king of mini-ITX for the time being, until sandy bridge I bet.
If you're looking for 880G and PCI-E, ASUS has had one out for some months now:
www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=jGAoIFEziW5sPYy7
Nice to see some competition, and I do still like what Zotac does in terms of making new designs, especially for small form factors... but after a rather bad set of experiences with one of their boards I doubt I'll go to them for my next ITX needs.
But this is kinda nice board anyway
Like say this: Antec ISK 300
You could also use the 880G-ITX in that same case with a AMD Quad core 640 or Triple core 440 and have a super small but very powerful desktop for normal people.
I do have too issues. Why are the cords for the fan and wireless antenna so long? I know those are minimum standard lengths, but why do it on a board this short?
Second, I have never seen DDR3-800 RAM. As far as I know, there has never been DDR3 RAM slower than 1066, so why not use that as the standard speed?
I am sure I could find a cheaper built; but finding one cheaper that can match this platform in specs and power would be impossible right now.
And if I personally put a Triple or Quad core processor in this build, it would be used as a small form factor desktop PC, not an HTPC. With either and the HD 4250, it will do everything you need and then some, with ease.
