PC CoD Elite No Show: The Backpedal!

Today, we brought you the depressing news that Activision are unlikely to bring the Call of Duty social network called Elite, to the PC platform, despite all their loyal PC gamers, who have bought every iteration of the game going and in particular helped them achieve their blockbuster sales of $400M last week. This delight came courtesy of this tweet:
@thejuggz We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.
Well, what do you know, but it looks like Elite is coming to the PC platform after all. Yes, you heard that right. In a tweet a while later, Activision claim to have "misspoken", like this:
We misspoke. Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for ELITE. Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined.
So PC gamers will at least get the free version. Fantastic. Still second class, but better than nothing. Probably best to keep a close eye on those tweets and a sceptical outlook on this one until it happens. You couldn't make this stuff up.

Free, so they make Elite rather than $125 worth of DLC. And now they are willing to give the DLC away for free on PC? Or just every other service besides DLC?

Yo dawg, I herd you like expensive DLCs. So we made a DLC for ur COD4 DLC (COD:MW3), so you could play a DLC while playing a DLC.

There is to much major criticism with Mw3, this forum is aimed @ shooting it down.

Who gives a FLYING fuck about Elite.

On the console, I have only seen around 50 Elite members out of thousands easily.

GUESS WHAT GUYS, ELITE doesn't do shit, and us console people have spoken, I still get all my stats perfectly fine. (unless you need to make scrim video's)

Fuck the DLC for now, Thats what everybody is also saying, there a tons of game-types and spec-ops to waste life on so far.

AthlonX2Thats your opinion, and its fine but in my opinion only retards play battlefield 3..or as it should be called Bad company 2 DLC
Fact -

I like Battlefield more then CoD because camping isnt that big of a problem as it is in BF3.

Im not saying the problems non existant. but its a lot less camping in my experience. but bigger maps open up more possiblities when it comes to play Domination/Conquest.

im not gonna get pulled into a argument but that make no sense, bf3 is way more diffrent then bc2. huge maps, more guns, more unlocks, more vehicles, awesome soundtracks, realistic wepaon physics, REAL GRAPHICS!!!!, built for the pc from the ground up, 64 players, REAL GRAPHICS!!!!!!, destrutible enviroments. teamwork, Squads.

cod MW, cod Mw2, Cod Black ops, Cod mw3, ------same engine, same graphics, same weapons, oooooooh new campaign, now if anything your the only paying for a whole game that should only be a exspansion.
