These look nice. On the X60 model, the right side that has the usb, does that stick out from under the laptop or is it under the laptop? looks like it'll tilt the laptop slightly? having that many usb's is nice. One less thing to carry with you and be sitting on your desk or where ever you are.

Not sure how the V60 will work out. Must be well if its releasing. Kinda reminds me of that house fan thats bladless. Can't remember name but I remember it being pretty pricey lol.

Woulda been nice to see things with usb3 as its backwards compatible with usb2. That way its future proof already.

Its a Dyson fan.

They are more of a fashion statement then a leap forward in technology & development that they describe it to be...

Inside the base of the unit there's a small impeller fan that has to spin pretty fast to get the kind of results that the techheads at Dyson give you, and something spinning that fast creates a lot of noise. Its much louder then any stardard fan. but i admit it looks cool...

the science behind the design is debatable though unless theres someone here with a PHD in physics thats wants to prove me wrong?

Its actually surprisingly quiet, comparable to a standard fan. The higher pitch whine might annoy more though, but nothing some music can't drown.

I beg to differ. Ive demo'd them quite a lot of times and they sounded louder then both the standard fans ive got at home. Obviously if i go on max setting its like a jet engine. The dyson sounds like a hoover assoon as you turn it on regardless of speed setting

All I want is a notebook cooler that I can put my own 25mm depth fans into. One that has a filter would be nice, too

I have the Coolermaster Notepal u2 and u3. I love them cause you can mount the fans where you need them most. Woulda been nice to have higher rpm fans to move more cause noise isn't to much of an issue for me.

They're nice ideas but they won't work for me.
