personal problem

Thanked 4 Times in 1 Post (for original post on this topic).

Yep, it is a personal problem that is supported by a number of others.

Forgive me! I forgot that FB users are superior to non-FB users in every conceivable way.

I'll crawl back under my rock now.

:wtf:

It is a personal problem. No one is saying you cannot enter the give a way you are saying you will not. That is definition of your own problem.

renosablastI sure do get tired of these facebook-only contests. This is actually illegal in many states in the US as an alternative method of entry is required so as not to discriminate. Do sites like TechPowerup not remember that a significant portion of their readership wants nothing to do with social media like facebook?

Bribing readers to post "likes" on facebook is certainly not a legitimate method of measuring a site's true readership. Good luck with that attitude.

"Facebook contests always get the results" -- you are only kidding yourself about "results". When the "results" are meaningless and self-fulflilling they are totally worthless. Facebook will be dead and gone in another 2 years or less -- what do your "results" mean then?
Lucky us its not US. Where does it say you have to participate ? Go play a chess contest or sth.

renosablastThe whole point is that you are creating the perception (whether intentional or not) that you are discriminating against non-FB users by not allowing non-FB users to participate. I love TPU regardless, too, but c'mon already! Give EVERYONE an equal chance! Is that too much to expect? Obviously we, too, represent a significant portion of your 'readership'.
But this is the first ever TPU facebook contest am I right? The discrimination has ended :p

Entered, good luck all :toast:

TPU has many contest and some are with GPUz and some are with others, this on the other hand is one on facebook.

Its a personal issue that you do not use facebook NOT TPU's fault and further more I have seen some people that wont use GPUz for various reasons but yet again its personal reasons.

Please don't come on here complaining that you have to use facebook or GPUz or something else to enter a contest that a group is GIVING AWAY to its loyal community.

Facebook linked contests are the best, so people can't fill hundreds of times with some coding

if you don't have a FB, then you don't enter. Its that simple. Enough crying discrimination, there are plenty of other tech contests around the internet that dont require FB, enter one of those.

I could not agree more!!!!!

What is it about everyone having contests that you have to "like" on facebook? I wouldn't have a frigging facebook account if they paid me to!!!!! :banghead:

Good luck to everyone though.

cdawallSounds like a personal problem. If you don't want to join facebook don't post complaining about facebook contests if anyone is discriminating its you against facebook.
Seems to me a lot of people are trying to make the fact that they are anti-social TPUs problem.

I don't necessarily like or dislike facebook, but I use it, rarely. It has helped me connect to some people that I normally wouldn't have. It is true that facebook will probably be gone in some time, and whatever comes next I will use that.

The idea that facebook holds is outstanding, their execution not so much.
