AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta 7 Available

AMD released Catalyst 12.11 Beta 7 software suite. The release is specifically designed to improve CrossFire scaling for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It includes all changes of older Beta releases, and is based on the "Never Settle" Catalyst 12.11 driver, which is proven to improve performance on Radeon HD 7000 series graphics processors based on the Graphics CoreNext architecture.

well Considering AMD went from releasing a driver every month to Every Other Month, it gives them time to Fix and Improve Performance, Hence the Testing done here seen some scary Gains that Put AMD on top and Caused NV to worry and you notice driver betas from them more often now

I just ran Cinebench 11.5 64 bit with my FX-8350 and Radeon HD 7950 . Got 7.79 score and 87.2 fps.

Over? beta4? or older than 12.11b? Cause I remember 12.11b drivers bringing huge improvements in 3DMark11, Like, R7970 GHz getting from 9500 before, almost 11000 now, in Performance run, and 2950 to 3350 in Extreme.

I keep wondering, since Sea Islands will be pretty similar architecturally, will we still see 7-10 months later, improvements like these? I'd love for R8000s to be impressive from the get-go, then if we get a 5-20% performance boost with drivers alone later on, even better...
