I-O Data Announces New Portable SSD

I-O Data has today revealed its latest storage solution, the SSDP-ST Series portable solid state drive. This compact (53.8 x 93 x 8.6 mm) and light (37 grams) SSD has a USB 3.0 interface, it comes in 64 GB and 128 GB versions, and is said to be a simple solution for storing the videos and photos taken with Android tablets or smartphones (USB OTG support is required).

Also compatible with Mac OS and Windows systems, the SSDP-ST drives deliver read speeds of up to 290 MB/s and can write at 96 MB/s (64 GB version) or 176 MB/s (128 GB). The 64 GB and 128 GB SSDP-ST solid state drives will be released around mid-October priced at 10,400 yen (~105 USD) and 15,700 yen (~ 158 USD), respectively. The SSDs come with a one-year warranty.
