Some lucky Austrians got their BFG Geforce 8800GTS early. 12 of them were sold by a local computer store today. Lets just say I am one of those lucky ones:Prices for a Geforce 8800GTS range from 429 Euros for the Asus variant to just under 500 Euros. The BFG sells for 469.99€.

Got benchmarks?
Its good to be an Aussie isnt it?
DROOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!:toast:
Darksaber, please post some benchmarks for us simple mortals! :toast:
So you are one of the first persons on this planet to have a DX10 video card!, I'm so green with envy! :respect: :respect: :respect: :pimp:
Depending on these benchies I might FINALLY leave AGP in the dust.....
there's a chinese review site with both g80 cards, but it's not very reputable looking/can't really know what they mean even with babelfish translation
The guy behind the counter (I know him well) jokingly said "we had to send em all back" *G* I just smiled and said "yea just the GTX not the GTS" and he was "right you are" and went to fetch my card from the back :D
3dMark06 benchies in 20 min. ;)
how many babies did you have to sacrifice

3DMark 06
7555 on a normal Windows maschine X2 4600+ (S939) with 2GB DDR400 and dirty windows install.
remember G80 is mainly CPU dependent...so benchmarks with a QuadCore or high speed Core 2 Duo/X2 AM2 chip will yield much better results!
I will do a complete review if I get the time for it :D
cheers

Thanks for the benchmark though, and congrats on your new video card.

I will take the reports of theINQ with a grain of salt, but it is safe to say, that the GPU is more CPU dependant than ever before...
I will OC everything (System and such) to see how far I can get.
cheers

I am able to turn everything on HIGH with 1920x1200 no probs.
will let ya know bout numbers in other games as soon as I start working on the review.
cheers
