Iiyama Outs ProLite XB2776QS-2 Display
Japanese display maker Iiyama rolled out the ProLite XB2776QS-2, a 27-inch monitor, which offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display resolution. It embeds an AH-IPS panel that's LED backlit, and doesn't rely on PWM to govern brightness (is flicker free). Its other chops include 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, 178°/178° viewing angles, 5 ms (GTG) response time, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio. Display inputs include dual-link DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and D-Sub. Its stand allows you to raise its height by up to 13 cm, and rotate its panel by 90° for portrait orientation. Other features include 3W stereo speakers, and Eco Mode, which cuts down power draw by up to 45 percent. It is expected to be available later this week in Japan.
