TechPowerUp and GIGABYTE Announce 600 WattOut Giveaway

TechPowerUp and GIGABYTE are back with a brand new Facebook giveaway, for you to win some cool gaming hardware by answering a handful simple questions. The giveaway celebrates GIGABYTE's 600 Watt Out graphics cards, equipped with coolers that can handle thermal loads of up to 600W, letting you tweak your GPU as if it were under more complex liquid cooling systems. Three lucky winners in this giveaway will each win a keyboard + mouse combo of GIGABYTE Aivia Osmium with Cherry MX Brown switches; and GIGABYTE Aivia Uranium wireless gaming mouse. To enter, simply feed in a little form (or make Facebook do it for you), and answer a few simple questions.

NabarunI never win :(
I don't think any member of TPU ever wins. This is a Fassbook giveaway, thousands of randomers will see it on a random page and enter, and have no intention of ever looking into TPU. Good way to advertise a website for public interest though (which is entirely what these competitions are for, public appearance).

Don't get the idea this is done for TPU members, if it were they'd run the giveaway internally to all members meeting a certain criteria.

Indeed... And what about us "elite" (read - outcast) few that refuse to have failbook accounts?

Not that I'm the most upstanding community member, but I can't help but feel like the community has regressed a bit since these facebook contests have started. Topics seem to be getting out of hand more quickly as a result of a lot of strongly polarized opinions.

Oh well, as long as it keeps TPU afloat I guess its worth it in the end!

I don't think it's purely a competition sort of thing, I think the general internet attitude has substantially worsened, and communities are becoming filled with toxic trolls that spend too much time on comment and image boards. A lot of young'uns with no respect. Luckily we have plenty of old codgers to keep the community spirit in check and in the right direction.

EDIT: Look at League of Legends and Star Citizen. In comparison, our community is a god-send.

I can see you being right there, noticed this too.

Ohwell, lets hope this prince ends up in the inventory of someone that really "needs" it :D

yeah, so we dont have any benefit from the title "TechPowerUp and GIGABYTE Announce 600 WattOut Giveaway" since non TPU members have the same chance of winning it.
i may choose TPU contest only if available although the prize is TPU towel :D

I can't remember if it was a Facebook giveaway tied in with TPU but it was certainly on TPU at least. At the beginning of last year I won a Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3 hehe. I think it was the first thing that I had ever won ever in my life haha. Pretty decent win too if I may say so myself.
