Only two problems I see with this sound card are that my RX-V592 doesn't have optical in (thanks to 1997 technology), and you'd have to buy a headphone amp. The latter of the two seems like a pretty significant problem IMO.

This card looks like it has the same specs as my $70 Turtle Beach Montego DDL.

Wait for the next generation card. Razer's going to add 512 Terabytes of GDDR1000 memory, Liquid Nitrogen cooling and a core clock of 3.2 Petaherts and a Fata1ity logo.
And why isn't it loaded with blue LEDs?! WTF!!!!!11 [/sarcasm]

The glowing Razer logo sitting in the bottom of your case just doesn't seem like it's worth it.

What? It has optical. That's a very expensive card if you're just doing optical. Doesn't optical bypass most of the card?

it would be nice to have, because MINE doesnt... hence the whole DFI and AN7 comment....;)

Optical out just bypasses the cards DAC, not the card.. the sound card still has to calculate the sounds, it just outputs a digital signal, so you are able to use a decent DAC instead of a crappy on-card one.

I don't know if I'll use it, but if I win, it's free... Maybe I'll stick it in the computer I'm making for my brother.
