eH-Sh4dowcoHi Tsukiyomi91 Im using a EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0+ at stock speeds.
The 970 has what NVIDIA calls GPU Boost. It boosts clocks based on temperatures and power target on its own, though it'll only hit a certain clock generally. Depending on the 970 you get determines how much it'll boost on its own above specified clocks. Pretty much its a sort of built in over locking algorithm. Been there since first Gen kepler cards. You don't have anything to worry about.

@eH-Sh4dowco like what MxPhenom 216 said. It's something u shouldn't be worrying about. Basically it's a type of auto OC profile based on GPU load & temps so long as it runs well within it's Boost limits of around 82 degrees Celsius. Do note that u make sure the casing's side panel is open to let the VGA cool down. Custom versions of the 970 uses a more proper cooling solutions, so heat issues are the least of your worries.
