EVGA Announces its Pro SLI HB Bridges

EVGA has once again amped up the SLI bridge with the EVGA PRO SLI BRIDGE HB. These new, completely redesigned SLI bridges come with new features and improved performance. Included is an RGBW color switcher that allows you to choose Red, Green, Blue or White color. Also, with the new High Bandwidth technology on NVIDIA GTX 10 series cards, you get double the available transfer bandwidth compared to previous generation cards.

Just right after Wizz posted a review of GTX1080 SLI, which mentioned that the bridge does almost NIL to performance so far...
Also, with the new High Bandwidth technology on NVIDIA GTX 10 series cards, you get double the available transfer bandwidth compared to previous generation cards.

Wizz review just showed fps numbers, but i think where the real benefit comes from for the hb bridges in the better frametimes, so smoother overall experience.

Yeah sure, which you'll only need when 4K monitors running over 60hz become available.

Right now, the ONLY reason to buy these is for aesthetic reasons, which for many, including myself, is a good enough reason, but I'm under no illusions that it will in any way give better frame rates.

They should be made adjustable so you don't have to buy various sizes in case you swap Motherboards or just move slots.

Why charging one flexible bridge that can adapt to every position when you can make 4 and force the consumer to buy a new one every time he wants to modify the setup? Milk the cow, they say.

They certainly do at 4k... not sure at 1440p though.

Also, using 2 flexible bridges gives the same exact 20-40% boost.
