ASUS Announces the GeForce 10 Series Mobile Driven ROG Notebooks

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced that GX800, the world's most powerful 18-inch gaming laptop, along with the G800, G752 and Strix GL502 gaming laptops are now available with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards. The VR-Ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards provide exceptional performance and energy efficiency to give gamers incredible VR-gaming experiences. These graphics cards also feature NVIDIA G-SYNC technology to reduce lag and stutter, and eliminate visual tearing to ensure the smoothest and fastest gaming visuals.

ASUS currently ranks as the number one gaming laptop brand worldwide with a 40% market share, according to sales data compiled by GfK Group, an independent research company. ROG GX800 is the world's first 18-inch real 4K UHD gaming laptop to feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 in 2-Way SLI. It gives gamers desktop-like gaming performance, silky-smooth gameplay and detailed 4K UHD gaming environments. The liquid-cooled ROG GX800 features the ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System that allows for extreme overclocking of the processor, graphics card and DRAM. ROG G752VS features the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card that delivers up to 80% higher performance than previous-generation graphics cards[4], an unlocked 6th-generation Intel Core i7 'Skylake' processor and up to 64GB DDR4 RAM. The unlocked processor has an overclocking toolkit, allowing users to overclock the system to speeds of up to 4.0GHz. So are these cut down mobile versions of the graphics chips?
Surely two 1080's in SLI would bottleneck the CPU and cause excessive heat as well as the need for a high power brick for supply.

I've been wondering when Asus or anybody was going to match the MSI Titan. 4K UHD surpasses MSI's Titan. Good move, Asus. Now, what about the price?
