And the DRM will shutdown the game as it wasn't purchased.

It's a pretty crappy game, its an ubi game should be no surprise. Its sad in that it was one of their halo games and how the mighty fall. It's not sad that its free, its sad how their big ones fall.

It's no RainbowSix 3: Ravenshield.

It looks like they are already out of keys; at least that is what the German uplay shop is telling me :(

Edit:
for some reason, signing into the shop using Edge allowed me to grab a key.
Odd behavior, but nice to get a free game!

Put it on Steam and I’ll buy it, not touching until then. Even for free.

I bought a copy of the game on DVD some time back, but I haven't gotten around to installing it or using the keycode/activation the DVD has tied to it. I basically now have a free copy I just tied to my Uplay account and now I still have an unopened DVD copy.....

I've heard the game wasn't as good as we were lead to believe, but I always wanted to try it. I'll get around to it eventually.

Doesn't matter if you bought it on Steam. You still are required to have Uplay if you want the game to run. Much like any recent Assassin's Creed game or Tom Clancey game or FarCry game..... Sure, you can buy the game through Steam and launch it through Steam, but Uplay has to run and verify your game key/code through Uplay and against the Uplay servers.

It doesn't matter if you buy the game through Steam or Uplay. Steam is just a verified seller for Ubisoft games.

I wish web sites wouldn't automatically parrot everything marketing throws them. Ubisoft isn't giving anything away for free, they're just trying to get more users enrolled in their proprietary platform.

Sorry for not being clear. It is on Steam, but you’re still required to create Unisoft account and use their uPlay launcher/store.

LOL might as well ask for BF1 on Steam. Your type always make me laugh. Go on and tell me what’s wrong with Uplay. I can tell you who has faster downloads among other things, it’s not Steam.

Very. I'd rather pay for a game that is DRM free, than have a free game with DRM.

I wish BF1 was on Steam. Just trying to keep my OS nice and clean. There’s no need for each game developer to have it’s own shop/launcher, we’d end up with hundrets of apps otherwise.
And I don’t know which of them is faster but Steam can fully utilize my 240Mbit/s download speed which is great IMO.

Is there a non-proprietary platform? Lol wtf.
Uplay is free and the game is free. What are you bitching about?

Lol ikr. If all these people were spending millions of dollars on software development of their own I'm sure some wouldn't like Valve taking %30 for publishing on Steam.

Funny, since I got Watchdogs 2 for free as well....yet still haven't played.

I can't complain about free though. As a courtesy, I won't trash their games here :p

I’m on 500 and I’m usually getting that same as you too from Steam. Uplay pegs out max always, same with Origin.

Those uplay and origin apps are pretty small. And it's not cancer lol. Just turn off auto start and you'll be fine.

I cant complain since I got it free from a contest that I won about 2 years ago, the game is still trash.

I will complain on Watch Dogs 2 which is pure shit, the game will use up about 80% of my processor and I have a 7700k running at 4.6hgz. I am complaining because I got it free with a used SSD that I bought from someone, I could have sold it and recovered some of the cost of the SSD.
